
LLPI: Latinas con Lupus, Promotores con Información
LLPI is professional development course for CHWs, promotores de salud, and other community members that work closely with Spanish-speaking populations. The goal is to prepare and equip students with tools that will enable them to support anyone in their community who is or may be living with lupus.
Latinas con Lupus, Promotores con Información
The LLPI course prepares CHWs/promotores to conduct outreach to raise lupus awareness in their communities. The course has a variety of materials designed to make supporting community members who have been diagnosed with lupus or who may be suspected of having lupus.
LLPI builds a deep knowledge base about lupus, provides and practices skills to navigate the healthcare system, and the importance of educating communities to recognize lupus. LLPI provides CHWs with materials and resources to assist those in their community who may live with or suspect they have lupus.
In this course, you will:
- Complete four video lessons that are guided by a bilingual facilitator.
- Test your knowledge with online quizzes.
- Practice your skills with interactive learning experiences.
- Hear from a rheumatologist with over 30 years of experience in the field.
- Learn tips from a promotora with over 10 years of experience with diverse communities.

Most videos will be led by Natalia Gomez, a promotora with over a decade of experience, and she will speak Spanish in every video. All videos will have captions available to turn on, and we encourage those taking the English course to turn on the captions immediately.
